Detailed description is This is my home from home when I visit my children. It is a great base for a summer holiday, a short break, or a few days skiing. Sleeps up to four. Looking for somewhere to stay in the Swiss Alps? Fly into Geneva with Easyjet from Luton or Gatwick (sometimes Stansted and Southend) , hire a car or take the train around the beautiful "arc lémanique", or drive down through France.. . This part of the mountainous Valais region is french speaking, a popular tourist destination made for holidays, warm and sunny in the summer (temperatures regularly upper 20's or higher), sunny and cold in the winter (when it's not snowing it's usually sunny).. . Golf, walking, skiing, lakes, cycling (mountain or road), shopping, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, eating and drinking, it is all here.. . My little flat is a one bedroom home from home. It sleeps up to four people. Lounge, kitchen, double bedroom with wardrobes and balcony, bathroom with shower. It is where I am able to spend some time with my children, but when we are not there it is a great place for you to discover this beautiful part of Switzerland from.. . Situated in Mollens, it is a five minute drive up to the resort of Crans Montana or five minutes down to the sunny town of Sierre in the valley. There is a bus stop right opposite the flat and regular buses in both directions. If you fancy walking, the funicular stop is a twenty minute walk away but worth it to ride the steep funicular line between Sierre and Montana (or you can catch the bus to the Bluche funicular stop which is two minutes away).. . Valais is famous for the Matterhorn in Zermatt, its ski resorts (Zermatt, Saas Fee, Verbier, Crans Montana), international golf course in Crans (home of the European Open), thermal bath resorts, mountain walks, the river Rhone and, of course, its orchards and vineyards and delicious local wines.. . There is plenty to do locally, everything I have described is within a 20/30 minute drive but Zermatt and the Matterhorn are an hour away.. .
