प्रमुख लक्ष्य:- 1. एक सुदृढ़, समावेशी, सुलभ एवं सार्थक व्यवस्था की स्थापना करना जो पुरोहिती व्यवस्था को वांछनीय प्रतिश्ठा प्रदान करें । एक ऐसी व्यवस्था जिसमें पुरोहित सर्वसुलभ हों, योग्य हों तथा सामाजिक व धार्मिक उन्नयन हेत समर्पित हो । 2. समाज और पुरोहित वर्ग के बीच सतत् संवाद स्थापित करना । 3. पुजारियों की भूमिका और क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने हेतु बहुआयामी प्रयास करना । 4. कमान की श्रृंख्ला वाले पुरोहत तन्त्र की स्थापना करना जिसमें शंकराचार्य के समग्र नेतृत्व में एक सम्पूर्ण व्यवस्था बनाई जाएगी । जिसमें शीर्ष में शंकराचार्य मण्डल होगा फिर महामण्डलेश्वर व मण्डलेश्वर तदुपरान्त महन्त और फिर पुरोहित-पुजारी-साधु वर्ग । 5. इस पेशे को आर्थिक रूप से जीविकोपार्जन के योग्य बनाना । 6. पुजारियों के लिए प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों की स्थापना करना तथा इस संस्थानों को संगठित होने हेतु एक माध्यम बनाना । 7. पुरोहित व्यवस्था को मानकीकृत और प्रासंगिक बनाने के लिए पुरोहिती षोध संस्थान स्थापित करना । यह संस्थान संस्कार, पूजा के तरीकों, आरती आदि को अधिक प्रासंगिक तथा समसामयिक बनाने जैसे विशयों पर अनुसंधान करेगा । 8. देश-विदेश की रिक्तियों को भरने हेतु पुरोहितों को तैयार करना तथा रिक्तियों वाली संस्थाओं व पुरोहितों के बीच एक कड़ी की तरह काम करना । 9. पुरोहित पेशे को समावेषी बनाना और वंचित जातियों और महिलाओं को इस पेशे में लाने का प्रयत्न करना । 10. ‘संस्कृति कक्षायें’ प्रारम्भ करना जो बच्चों को धर्म से जोड़ेंगी । विभिन्न इलाकों में 8-00-09-30 के बीच हर रविवार को ऐसी कक्षायें आयोजित की जाएगी। यह लोगों की पहल के माध्यम से किया जाएगा । पाठ्यक्रम और अन्य विवरण संघ द्वारा प्रदान किया जाएगा । 11.
