Detailed description is Starting in the fall of 2012 High Point University will have an Eventing Team.

High Point University's Eventing Team focuses on the horse triathlon of Three Day Eventing.
While similar to the Equestrian team run through ISHA, it also includes Dressage and Cross Country.
The team will compete at recognized events within a three-hour radius of HPU.
Holly Hudspeth, a world-renowned competitor and trainer, will guide the team to success.
Adding a team dynamic to a primarily individualized sport will give the sport a new demention.
The friends you make will last a lifetime, and offer a level of support that was once hidden.

Our coach is Holly Hudspeth.
Holly Hudspeth is based out of Equiventure Farm in Rougemont, NC.
Holly has successfully competed at the four-star level, and represented our nation at the 2003 Pan-American Games.
She is a level IV ICP Certified instructor.
As a child, Holly also participated in the United States Pony Club and achieved both HA and A ratings.

Our main goal as a up-and-coming club sport at High Point University is to spread the word about eventing to other schools, and get a network of competitions to start a separate collegiate division.
Basically start an IHSA within the eventing community.
Building team spirit, and incorporating the university is also a major goal.
For anyone who has been to a team eventing competition, you can attest that it is a completely different experience than eventing on your own.
Friendships, support, and fun will all be a major part of this club team..

The eveting team is based out of Hunters Pointe Stable run by Kara Gallimore and her family.
It is a local Hunter/Jumper barn with a large arena and trails.
The care for the horses at HPS is phenomenal.
Large turnouts alone, or in groups are available, as well as pasture board.
HPS goes above and beyond for all their horses.

High Point University is located 30 minutes from both Greensboro and Winston Salem.
We are an hour and a half from both Raleigh and Charlotte.
The Fork, Southern Pines, and Horse Trials at the Ark are all within 2 hours of HPU, Aiken and Virginia horse trials are all within 3 hours of the university.
