The restaurant and its dining rooms have stunning views of the wooded limestone cliffs and are within walking distance of Lake Winnebago, the largest inland recreational lake in Wisconsin.. . High Cliff Restaurant was built in 1968 as part of Frank Schneider’s dream to create an all-inclusive public community including the restaurant, golf course, pro shop, condominiums, swimming pool, park and marina. The restaurant has operated continuously since 1968 through a succession of ownership changes. It was separated from the golf course in the early 1970’s and has remained a separate entity since then. Since June of 1999, ownership in the restaurant has rested in the hands of Chuck & Jana Schuster. Larry Trucco served as the general manager and managing partner for periods of time between 2003 and 2009, and he continuously has served as general manager since 2010.
