Detailed description is Family Owned and Operated Company offering Hickory Grove Original and Chipotle BBQ sauces along with All Purpose Seasoning, BBQ Rub, and Hickory Wood Chips "The Hickory Grove Original BBQ Sauce recipe has been in my family for 5 generations. My grandfather, Fred Benjamin, made it at the Road House in Monitcello, Illinois in the 1940's, when my mother was a little girl. We have been making it for family and friends for over 70 years. Over that time everyone has always told us, we should be bottling our sauce and selling it. Finally in July of 2012 my husband (Jeff Kearney, Vice President/Sales) and I did just that. We also created Hickory Grove Chipotle BBQ Sauce, and Hickory Grove All Purpose Seasoning and BBQ Rub. Great BBQ and great food is our passion. We are very happy to be able to share our sauce with you, so that you may experience what we have been enjoying for all these years. I think Grandpa would be proud.
