It's main focus is crime prevention in the towns. We at CCW work to set up neighborhood watches in town. We put up and maintain CCW signs and decals in neighborhoods and business districts in town. We also hand out information packets on how to start your own neighborhood watch. All of which can be found at the CCW office located at 601 W Herrin st. Office number is 988-8484.. We help with multiple community events over the year, such as the annual Herrin community Thanksgiving Dinner, we have a informational booth at the trail of treats for Halloween, host a annual community food drive, and host a free breakfast in September of every year as a give back to the community and local Police Dept. On New Years our CCW patrol members act as Designated Drivers for all those out at the bars or partying New Year's Eve, we will bring you to your requested location at no charge, just to ensure the safety of our residents and those on the road.. We have regularly scheduled crime watch meetings at city hall throughout the year. We work with both Herrin and Energy Police and city officials on any crime watch related tasks..
