Heritage Hospice is a family-founded hospice serving Western Pennsylvania includig the Greater Pittsburgh Area and surrounding counties, Indiana County, Johnstown, Northern Cambria and surrounding counties that takes pride in providing our patients with comfort, dignity and peace either in the comfort of their own home or in a skilled facility of their choice.
We have Registered Nurses available and on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Heritage Hospice was officially incorporated on 9/16/2010.
The partnership began long before that when twin brothers Matt Vasil and Mike Vasil began formulating a business model that would effectively utilize both of their backgrounds.
Matt was employed by UPMC as a family physician in the Pittsburgh area and Mike was previously employed by the Department of Veteran Affairs for more than 12 years in multiple disciplines within the finance department including accounting, budget, auditing, and also as CFO of the Altoona VAMC.
Matt had an interest in hospice care and felt there was a need in the Pittsburgh area for a small hospice company with traditional values and excellent care.
It seemed liked the perfect combination given Matt’s medical background and Mike’s business background and after formulating a business plan Heritage Hospice was created..
