Mein Name ist Hamid Rahimi, ich wurde am 12.09.1983 in Kabul/Afghanistan geboren. Heute bin ich Profiboxer – ein Kämpfer – und setze meine Fäuste nur im Ring ein.. Ich wuchs zusammen mit meinen drei Geschwistern während der Sowjetinvasion in der Hauptstadt Kabul auf. Wir besuchten die Schule, wir spielten, wir hatten Freunde - wir hatten die beste Kindheit, die man in Afghanistan haben konnte. Dann brach der Bürgerkrieg aus und verwandelte das Land in Schutt, die Menschen in Asche. Schulen, Wohnblöcke, Straßen wurden bombardiert; viele Menschen flohen, noch mehr Menschen starben. Darunter mein bester Freund Samir. Es war heiß, wir wollten Eis essen, die Eisdiele explodierte, ein Splitter bohrte sich in sein Herz, er starb, ich überlebte. Die Kindheit war vorbei, für mich und Millionen andere Kinder Afghanistans - zwei Jahrzehnte später kennen die Kinder dieses geschundenen Landes das Wort „Kindheit“ nur noch vom Hören und Sagen.. „Eines Tages“. Wir flohen, aber ich versprach: „Eines Tages werde ich wiederkommen, das Land aufräumen und kämpfen – für die Kinder und ihre Kindheiten.“. Wir immigrierten nach Hamburg; Armut und Sprachbarrieren waren die nächste Herausforderung. Ich ließ meiner Wut freien Lauf und meine Fäuste schlugen mir den Weg frei. Ich landete auf der Straße, im Krankenhaus und im Gefängnis. Der Boxsport rettete mich und half mir meine Vergangenheit zu überwinden. Ich lernte, meine Wut zu kontrollieren und meine Fäuste nur noch im Ring einzusetzen.. Die Vision „Fight for Peace“. Afghanistan leidet seit mehr als dreißig Jahren unter dem Krieg. Armut, Hunger, Krankheiten, Mangel an Bildung, Korruption sind nur einige der Folgen. Heute wie gestern sind es die Kinder und Jugendlichen, die am meisten darunter leiden. . Vor zwei Jahren rief ich das Projekt „Fight for Peace“ ins Leben. Das Projekt hat das Ziel die Jugend mit Sport zu mobilisieren. Sport bewegt – das bewiesen bereits Mohammed Ali und Nelson Mandela. Seitdem dieses Projekt ins Leben gerufen wurde sind etliche Boxgyms in Afghanistan entstanden – u.a. auch für Frauen. . Im Oktober 2012 bestritt ich den ersten Profikampf in der Geschichte Afghanistans - ein Kampf zum Zeichen des Friedens. Millionen Afghanen verfolgten dieses Ereignis, die ganze Welt berichtete über den historischen Tag des Friedens in einem Land des Krieges. Die Menschen Afghanistans erlebten einen Tag des Sportes, sie vergaßen einen Tag den Krieg, die Kinder waren einen Tag lang Kinder.. Leider ist der Weg zum Frieden steinig und das Ziel noch weit entfernt, aber ich bin bereit ihn zu gehen - wer ist bereit mir zu folgen?. ______. . The person behind the boxer. My siblings and me were visiting the school, we were playing, we had friends – we had the best childhood a child can have in Afghanistan. Then the civil war broke out and transformed the city to ash, the people to dust. Schools, houses, streets were bombed, a lot of people escaped, a lot of people died. One of them was my best friend Samir. We went out to have an ice cream. The ice cream parlor exploded, a splint bored itself though his hearth, Samir died and I stayed alive. The childhood was over, for me and million other children of Afghanistan. We fled, but I promised: “One day I will come back, clear up the country and fight – for the children and their childhoods.”. We immigrated to Hamburg, poverty and barriers of languages became the next challenges. I started to give free rein to my anger and to clear up my roads with the power of my fists. I ended up in jail. The boxsport saved and helped me to overcome my past. I learned to control my anger and to use my fists only in the ring.. The Vision “Fight for Peace”. Afghanistan is adversely affected by the long period of war. Poverty, hunger, sicknesses, lacks of education and corruption are just a few consequences of the war. Today like yesterday children and youth are suffering most. Two years ago I brought the project “Fight for Peace” into being. The setting of this project was to mobilize the youth with the power of sports. Sport can affect – Mohammed Ali & Nelson Mandela proved this. Since this project was born a number of boxgyms opened in Afghanistan – even for women.. In October 2012 I challenged the first professional fight in the history of Afghanistan – a fight in sign of peace. Millions of Afghan people tune in to this event & the whole world reported about this historic day of peace in the land of war. The people experienced one day of the magic of sports and the children were children – for one day.. Bis zu meinem 9ten Lebensjahr lebte ich in Afghanistan, im Zentrum des Krieges und Armut. Als der Krieg tobte und Afghanistan, flüchtete ich mit meiner Familie nach Hamburg. Heute kann ich über mich sagen, dass ich an erster Stelle Profi-Boxer bin. Seit nun mehr als 9 Jahren über ich diesen Sport Tag für Tag, an jeder freien Minute aus. Trainieren, Kämpfen, Siegen sind mein Lebensinhalt geworden. Zu Boxen ist für mich mehr als nur ein Geschäft oder ein Beruf, es ist eine Lebensaufgabe, meine Berufung. Mein höchstes Ziel ist es, irgendwann zu den Besten zu gehören und der erste afghanische Boxweltmeister zu werden. Ein Boxer zu sein bedeutet nicht einfach nur das zu lieben was du tust, es bedeutet dafür zu leben! Die Leidenschaft, die mich tagtäglich in den Ring treibt, gibt mir Kraft mich zu verwirklichen. Sie nimmt mir die Angst, sie macht mich stark und gibt mir das Gefühl wahrhaftig zu leben. Ich habe keine Furcht vor dem Ring oder eine Niederlage zu erleiden, meine Ehrfurcht gilt Gott und mein Glaube an Ihn und an mich selbst, nimmt mir meine Ängste. Jeden Tag danke ich für die einmalige Chance meinen Traum leben zu können. Es ist ein Privileg für mich meine Talente tagtäglich unter Beweis stellen zu dürfen.
