Detailed description is 해인아트프로젝트2013, 경남 합천 해인사, 2013.9.27-11.10 (45일간) 해인아트프로젝트는 대장경 조성 천 년을 기념하는 <대장경천년세계문화축전>의 특별행사로 2011년 출발했습니다.
고려시대 전쟁의 역경을 호국신념으로 이겨내고자 16년에 걸쳐 진행한 대역사의 대장경 조성은 문화적, 사회적 그리고 경제적인 부흥과 국민 통합을 가져온 국가 차원의 프로젝트였습니다.
해인아트프로젝트는 이러한 대장경이 상징하는 비폭력주의, 화합정신을 이어받아, 서로 다른 영역 간의 경계를 뛰어넘는 창의적 소통과 조화를 지향합니다..

1회 전시는 ‘통’이라는 주제로, 언어, 사상, 인종, 국가의 경계를 초월하여 새로운 형태의 화합을 제시하는 의미를 담아 해인사 경내와 성보박물관에서 열렸습니다.
2회를 맞이하는 올해의 해인아트프로젝트는 30팀의 국내외 작가가 참여하여 ‘마음心’에 대한 작업을 선보입니다.
1회 프로젝트가 대장경이 조성된 지 천 년이 되는 해를 기념하며 과거의 시간을 기억하는 행사였다면, 이번 2회는 앞으로 우리가 만들어나가야 할 천 년에 대한 비전을 제시하는 행사입니다.
작가들은 ‘마음’이라는 주제를 통해 천 년 전과는 확연히 달라진 방식으로 생활하고 있는 현대인에게 종교와 사찰이 어떤 의미로 다가가야 하는지, 어떤 역할을 해야 하는지에 대해 해인사가 가지고 있는 고민의 과정에 동참합니다..

특히 올해에는 해인사와 성보박물관 뿐 아니라 2011년 조성한 소리길 일대에도 작품을 설치하여 전시공간을 확장했습니다.
