Detailed description is The mission of Grey Dove, Inc. is to stimulate the well-being and sustainability of communities throughout the world by providing primary and specialized medical care and prevention education. Grey Dove was founded in May 2012 by the Rev. Clelia Pinza Garrity in response to the expressed needs of rural communities in Haiti that have no access to healthcare. Grey Dove is currently working in southwest Haiti in the small community of Bondeau. The goal of their work in this area includes establishment of a permanent healthcare clinic, a sustainable clean water project, and the introduction of solar power to replace the current generator driven system.. . Since 2012 Grey Dove has completed seven missions to Bondeau, established a school nurse program, stocked a full-service pharmacy, and developed a water and solar project team dedicated to improving the community’s infrastructure by the end of 2014. Plans are currently underway for the acquisition of a small parcel of land in Bondeau that will be used as the site for a permanent healthcare clinic.. . In the past 18 months over 1500 patient contact hours have been provided. Dental care and ophthalmology services were introduced into the project in November 2013.
