Detailed description is We, as cycling enthusiasts, promote non-motorized transport to provide greener life style image to those you are willing to understand this beautiful planet of ours.
Climate change & health benefits of cycling are immense.
''Green Planet Bicycle Riders' Association'' (GPBRA) is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation with its principal office at Bhopal.
GPBRA was founded in 2007-08 by Satya Prakash, a senior IAS officer working as Additional Chief Secretary with the Govt of Madhya Pradesh.
The organisation is promoting Green Transport in general and use of bicycles for meeting day-to-day mobility needs in particular.
The Association is also supporting competitive cycling activities, propagating the philosophy of adopting active lifestyle and reducing avoidable dependence on use of natural resources involving increase in emission levels of Green House Gases.
GPBRA has been undertaking regular weekly adventure activities, besides having organized national level events, such as mountain cycling competition, off-road adventurous cross-country bicycle ride and observance of the World Environment Day, etc..

2/ Promotional activities of GPBRA have attracted the young as also not-so-young people from Bhopal and surrounding districts.
Some young and talented boys have shown great desire to pursue competitive cycling.
To promote such promising cyclists, the Association has, from its own limited resources, supported them by providing equipment and financial help so as to enable them to participate in cycling competitions..

3/ We organise morning rides on a continuous and sustained basis for our members and other interested people who are committed to the above objectives and who want to become part of the movement for promoting active life style and reducing pollution in the city and its streets/neighbourhoods.
These rides on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday are group rides with participation of large number of riders from different parts of Bhopal and surrounding areas..
