The Perrsville Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1933 (More background info coming soon).
In 2008 the Green-Perrysville Joint Fire District was formed, allowing us to begin staffing the fire department through funding of the Green-Perrysville EMS levy.
We currently staff 2 members during the day (9 am to 5 pm 7 days a week) to provide emergency medical services.
In the event of multiple squad calls volunteers are called in for additional personnel, emergencies that happen from 5pm-9am and fire services are provided by an all volunteer staff.
We provide healthcare and basic CPR classes as well as first aid classes.
We currently have a roster of 41 members and 12 pieces of equipment.
We strive to meet the needs of our community and surrounding communities.
We provide mutual aid services to Mifflin fire department, Loudonville fire department, Hayesville-Vermillion fire department, Worthington Township fire department, and Monroe Township Fire and EMS.
