Detailed description is Grapevine Hollow Grapevine hollow is nestled in the shade of a white oak and pine forest on 35 acres.
It is a short distance from both Alley spring and Akers Ferry near the beautiful Ozarks National Scenic Riverways.
This dream came about when Dave and Floralyn retired and left their busy lifestyle in Iowa.
The lodge began as a single room for a family who moved here from Illinois to homestead the land.
They later built a second room for their expanding family.
When we purchased the land, the lodge had no running water or electricity.
The family followed a bigger dream to build a log home using timbers from the grapevine hollow property.
After we purchased the property in 2005, we moved into the log home and continued to develop the lodge.
It now has electricity, running water, full bathroom and kitchen facilities.
And a wonderful screened in porch.

The lodge is rustic, homey and has open style living for a small group of up to 6 or 7.
There is one queen sized bed, one double futon bed and single bed in the living area, and a double bed in the loft.
The kitchen is complete with an apt.
size stove, a small refrigerator, and a microwave.
The kitchen is furnished with coffee pot, toaster, blender, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and other miscellaneous necessities.
