The Grant County Historical Society was organized in 1938 and incorporated in 1944.
Until 1960 artifacts collected were displayed in the Grant County Courthouse.
Upon completion of the museum building, one of the first in the state to be built for the purpose of becoming a museum, artifacts were moved to their new home..
Our collections cover prehistoric times through current times but the pioneer settlement era of the 1880s to 1900 are especially well represented.
Our Veterans Memorial Hall contains military exhibits representing wars and conflicts from the Civil War to the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts..
