Detailed description is INFO Seite Grafschafter Auto Cross Club e.V 1974 Im Jahre 1974 ist der heutige Grafschafter Auto-Cross Club e. V. entstanden.. . Er ging aus einem Kellertreffen der fünf Gründungsmitglieder Günther Wolf, Johann Schipper, Heinz Krieschik, Karl-Heinz Öpkes und Ernst-Dieter Balders hervor. Diese bildeten zunächst eine Altwagenrenngemeinschaft. Sogenannte Altwagen waren nicht mehr verkehrstauglich, aber noch fahrbar.. . Bereits vor 40 Jahren pachteten die Verantwortlichen ein Stück Land in Esche , auf dem bis zum Jahre 1998 die Rennveranstaltungen stattfanden. Dort trugen die Vereinsmitglieder also auch ihren ersten Wettbewerb aus.. . Heute steht dem GACC e. V. leider kein festes Renngelände mehr zur Verfügung.. . Nach ein bis zwei Jahren brachte das Frisieren und Einbauen von Sicherheitsvorkehrungen bei den Autos eine Namensänderung des Clubs mit sich. Ein genaues Datum der Ernennung zum Grafschafter Auto-Cross Club ist nicht bekannt.. . Die Autowerkstätten zweier Gründungsmitglieder waren mit dafür verantwortlich, dass die Entwicklung der Mitgliederzahl Ende der 70er sprunghaft stieg. Mittlerweile sind es über. 150 Mitglieder (Stand 2.2017).. . Sportlich ging es damals z. B. mit dem 34 PS-Käfer an den Start. Heute erreicht man bei den nach Hubraum unterteilten Fahrzeugen bis 1,4 l ca. 250 PS, bei der Klasse über 2 l ungefähr 400 PS. Ein führendes Auto einer Spezialklasse, ausgerüstet mit dem neuesten Stand der Technik, kostet um die 25.000 Euro und mehr.. . Die Fahrer unseres Vereins nehmen querbeet an vielen Meisterschaften (Nordwestdeutsche- und Deutsche Auto-Cross Meisterschaft, Niederländische Meisterschaft, etc.) teil.. . Als Veranstalter hat sich der Club auf die Nordwestdeutsche Auto-Cross Meisterschaft spezialisiert.. . Seit dem Jahr 2010 ist der Grafschafter Autocross-Club auch Mitglied im Deutschen Rallyecross-Verband (DRCV e. V.).. . Der NWDAV trägt fünf bis acht Läufe in der Cross-Saison von April bis Oktober in vielen Klassen aus.. . Zunächst unterteilt man in Serienfahrzeuge, Tourenwagen (Serienfahrzeuge getunt) und den Spezial-Crossfahrzeugen (Eigenbau). Auch gibt es eine Lady-und Jugendklasse.. . Die Läufe starten, neben unserem Rennen, in Cloppenburg, Werlte, Oldenburg, Steinfeld, Wilhelmshaven und Rhede -Ems).
