The primary goal of GSBPP's research programs is to provide the Navy and DoD with the capability of managing defense organizations, systems, and processes both efficiently and effectively.
GSBPP recognizes the importance of both basic and applied research to the Navy and DoD; and seeks to create a balance of both types of research in its research programs.
GSBPP's research programs can be grouped into six functional areas: Acquisition & Contracting, Logistics & Transportation, Financial Management, Manpower Systems& Human Resources, Organization& Management and Economic& Policy Analysis..
