Got Your Six. a 501(c)3, provides no cost training to veterans with PTSD and have a qualifying dog that they wish to train, or need assistance in selecting a dog for training. Training a PTSD service dog takes approximately 12 to 18 months to achieve. You are part of the training process from the beginning and will learn everything you need to have that partner work with you.. . The goal of our organization is to provide this training at no cost to military veterans who have been medically advised to acquire a PTSD service dog. After this certification, training is provided on an “as needed” basis for the working life of the dog if they remain in proximity to Got Your Six’s location.. .
