Detailed description is A beautiful timber-framed mill situated on the River Tillingbourne. You'll find a warm welcome, a decent wine list, and good honest food cooked with care. Gomshall Mill is a beautiful timber-framed pub, sitting quite literally upon the River Tillingbourne. The history of the building goes back to Anglo-Saxon times (and that's just the manager, Andy). In a previous incarnation, it was a tea room and antiques shop and now we serve discerning diners and have our own resident antique (Andy, again, I'm afraid).. With a truly picturesque and spacious cottage garden, nested within the Surrey Hills, we serve local ales (including local brewer Tillingbourne's), a good qaulity selection of wines and some cracking food lovingly created by our chefs. Food is served from 12 o'clock throughout the day, come rain or shine, flood or drought... (yes, it has flooded in the past...)
