Detailed description is Community Composting is the carefree compost solution. Convenient, yard and household waste collection combined with sustainable egg & pork production! Golden Community Compost will create FOOD from food waste, reduce waste going to the landfill and help reduce bears scavenging for garbage in town. We will provide compost bins that can be dropped off at Eat Pure Mountain Market or at the Wednesday Farmers Market. Food scraps will be fed to a flock of free range laying hens and pastured pigs at Goonieland Permaculture Farm before being made into manure enriched compost! Eggs will be available at the Farmer's Market and Pork by pre-order for fall harvest. Due to having animals be part of the compost cycle we do have rules as to what can and can not go into the compost bins, please call, email or drop by Eat Pure Mountain Market to find out more and to join the LOCAL FOOD revolution! .
