Mottakelsen blandt bergenserne var varm og hjertelig. Den kvalitet og kunnskap Godt Brød var i besittelse av, var nettopp det kundene hadde savnet. Her var det bakerne selv som satte deigen, eltet og knadde hvert eneste produkt og som selv sto bak disken, og slik har vi gjort det siden. Bakeriene våre heter derfor BAKEVERKSTED, og vi er stolte av å drive med skikkelig håndverk. . . Godt Brød har siden 1995 utelukkende bakt økologisk. For oss innebærer dette å benytte ubehandlede og rene råvarer, fri for sprøytemidler og tilsetningsstoffer. Vi mener det nettopp er dette som fremmer den GODE SMAKEN i våre bakevarer.. . Godt Brød ønsker også å spille på lag med naturen. Dette ved å benytte råvarer som kommer fra Glade Griser på Grøstad gård, egg fra høner som går fritt i naturen og mel fra åker som ikke er sprøytet. Vi ønsker også å oppmuntre leverandører til å dyrke økologisk. Godt Brød har blant annet gjennom et samarbeid med bønder i Sognefjorden vært med på å starte prosjektet REKRUTTFRUKT, slik at bønder har kunnet legge om til økologisk drift av fruktdyrkingen sin. Slik ønsker vi å legge til rette for muligheten til å drive miljøvennlig landbruk. . Ved å handle hos oss håper vi derfor at du også får GOD SAMVITTIGHET. . .
