Detailed description is 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 9th ward winner and 2012 Mayors choice Grand Prize winner in the holiday lighting contest for the city of Bay City, Michigan.
The Gingerbread House started it's lighting tradition in 2009.
Every year afterwards the lights and decorations have become an attraction for all to enjoy.
In the past few years we have been selected as the 9th ward winner for the City of Bay City for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and first place winner for the city of Bay City in 2012.
We were included in the holidays lights drive in the December 2013 edition of Great Lakes Bay Regional Lifestyle Magazine along with articles in The Bay City Times and on www.mlive.com.
In 2011 we also made it on WNEM TV5's holiday lights special.
We estimate over 25,000 lights.
Some of the decorations include 10 wire frame deer, 8 inflatables, 25 blow mold decorations, 10 spiral trees along with a lighted music show controlling six of the spiral trees and the six snowflakes on the front of the house including the six arches draped over the driveway and a 20 foot tall flag pole tree with 890 LED lights..
Work on the project begins November 1st and continues up until Thanksgiving.
Even though its a long hard month of work, watching others drive by to enjoy our display becomes our reward.
