Detailed description is Geneseo Campus Activities Board is a group of 16 students who work together to put on shows, concerts, movies and other types of events.
Geneseo Campus Activities Board was established in 1968 to the need for Non-Greek organized activities on campus.
It replaced the Social Programs Committee and the Activities Commission and was part of a restructuring of the Student Government, from the representative Student Senate to Central Council, now called the Geneseo Campus Activities Board.
The members of GCAB were, and still are, elected by the outgoing board as opposed to being elected by the student body or appointed by Student Association Executive Board.

GCAB originally consisted of an executive board and several councils; such as an athletic council and a special events council.
There have been many changes since then, and now we no longer have "councils" but instead programming boards.
