Detailed description is "Providing Solid Ground for Growing Artists" Hello! My name is Joyce Hutchinson. I own and operate the Joyce Hutchinson Studio Academy of Art & Literature, based in my home studio in Mandarin. I earned a degree in English Literature from McKendree University (IL). I have been teaching art classes at a tutorial level since 1998, first in Mascoutah (IL), and since 2014 in Jacksonville (FL).. . I became a published author in June 2015 with my first book of a volume series, "Pocketful of Garnets" (available on Amazon.com).. . Parents love my curriculum, and art helps with all other core subjects. They love my one-on-one tutorial approach. They also love the small classroom sizes, which is a maximum of 8 students per session, in a comfortable and personal home setting, where refreshments and snack times are included.. . I offer four (4) levels of instruction:. Beginners-level tuition is only $70 for 12 hours per month and Intermediate-level tuition is only $120 for 12 hours per month. These prices include tuition and art supplies/class materials. Please note these two levels encompass the majority of students. Furthermore, because 12 hours per month is a lot of hours, each month is considered to be a semester. The Beginners-level tuition of $70 for 12 hours per month calculates to little less than $6.00 per hour in actual tuition fees. Advanced-level tuition is only $220 for 15 hours per month, and Master-level tuition is only $420 for 20 hours per month. All of these prices are guaranteed for 12 months at the signing of the original registration forms.. . My tuition rates are based on recent price comparisons with other notable art schools that are charging a conservative estimate of $80 for three hours of tuition-level classes, and a minimum of $250 a month for 12 hours. Before you decide to enroll in my art school, I urge you to compare and price-shop other notable schools.. . We are offering two to three sessions everyday, Monday through Saturday: one in the morning, and one in the afternoon and/or evening. Sessions are filling up quickly. Please contact me to reserve your session. No more applicants after 100 students per month will be accepted. First come first serve only.. . For parents and grandparents, we always offer $70 and $120 gift certificates for 12 hours of tutorial-type art instruction per month. We are currently expanding into literature classes.
