Detailed description is Hawaii family owned and operated Southeast Alaskan Gillnetter, fishing for salmon through the summer months. The F/V Leilani-Marie is a family operated commercial fishing business. We fish out of beautiful Sitka, Alaska. This boat has been in the family since 2005. The operation is run by our Skipper also known as daddy Joshua Brandenburg. Josh has almost 30 years of fishing experience. From gillnetting in Bristol Bay to Herring fishing in Southeast. First mate for part of the summer is me, his wife Raychel Brandenburg. Our three children also are apart of the operation. Halia 13 yrs., Nohea 9, and Chandler 3. They have been on the boat almost every summer since we've had her. We have had a few different deckhands through the years, Rob Crowner our good friend, Lindsey Brandenburg, Josh' brother, Ryden Tacbian, my cousin and Sage Brandenburg our nephew. . The Leilani-Marie works from June- September catching assorted salmon in Southeast-Alaska. From Kings to Sockeye to Keta and Coho. Commercial fishing is a great adventure we share with our family especially because we are from Hawaii. For the rest of the year our family lives on Kauai, Hawaii. The most beautiful place I have ever been. We all get to get off the rock and readjust our sealegs. It allows our kids to experience something that alot of people never would.
