Detailed description is In-home preschool for 2-5 year olds with a safe and fun learning environment. Following a Montessori-approach curriculum. Learning through play! Welcome to Fun With Friends Preschool! I am excited you are visiting my page. A little about me: I am a physical therapist by trade with my Master's Degree. I have experience with pediatrics as well as children with special needs. I am adult/child/infant CPR/AED certified. I have two children: a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old (as of 4/2016). My 2.5 year old has been attending a preschool twice a week and a sitter once a week while I work part time. My current job at a school for children with severe disabilities is, unfortunately, coming to a close. I love working with the kids there, however, it has not worked out for my family. Because I love spending time with and teaching young children, I have decided to open my own in home preschool. YAY!. . Why am I a good fit for you? As mentioned before, I do have experience with young children and children with special needs. I also have a deep love for children of this age range and connect well with them. I have also been given the gift of patience-which is very helpful when working with children! I am very laid back- there is a daily schedule planned but I can go with the flow when things aren't working as expected!. . My curriculum: I am following a daily curriculum that has monthly and weekly themes. I will use a checklist for kindergarten preparedness to make sure your little one is ready when the time comes! Each day of the week will have a special time blocked for one of the following: spanish, cooking, music (in addition to daily songs), or games. When I was looking into preschools for my son, these were topics that weren't always addressed, or one school had one while another had a different, but important, one. I want to make sure that I at least introduce the children to a variety of things besides the ones necessary for school.. . Make no mistake: this is a preschool and your child will learn while having a great time and making friends! Because of the small class size, your child will receive specialized attention that may not be available at other places. I want you to feel comfortable knowing that while your children are with me, they will be my honorary children and I will treat them like my own. After all, that's what I expect, so you deserve nothing less!
