It all started when the Forland's traveled from Norway to the U.S in the 1900s; eventually making there way to baldwin county setting in the Robetsdale/Silverhill area.
The first generation of Forland's grew row crops such as cotton.
Next generation also cotton as well as soybeans, red potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
