Detailed description is Our soaps are handcrafted in our home and made in small batches using only natural and organic high-quality ingredients and essential oils.
We are often asked how Forest Green Naturals was created.
In 2006 we became concerned about the chemicals that were in all of our skin care products, and the adverse effects these chemicals were having on ourselves, family and friends.
We decided to start with changing our soap.
We went to several craft markets where we saw some vendors selling handmade soaps.
Unfortunately, we noticed some of these soaps were made with artificial colors and fragrances, which means more chemicals.
After extensive research, we decided to make our own soap with a blend of natural and organic ingredients.
For our first batch of soap, we used a 1L milk carton as our mold and scented it with essential oil of lavender and managed to create our first successful batch.
Clearly now experts...we decided to start giving our soaps to family and friends as Christmas gifts.
To our excitement, they loved it, and asked if they could start purchasing our soaps.
Word of mouth began to travel, and we soon had many new customers.
This meant an increase in milk consumption, as we had to destroy the milk cartons after each batch to remove the soap.
It was time to invest in an actual soap mold, and expand our product line to include all natural lip balm and deodorant.
Today, we continue to experiment with different natural ingredients and create new products for our customers.
