Any amount of donation helps us out!! <3 My daughter, Grace was born on October 28, 2006 in Osage, IA.
She came into this world at 37 weeks and 2 days gestation, which is close to full term~just not quite there.
Many babies do very well born at this gestation~but my Grace was not one of those babies.
Upon her birth she was having problems breathing~she was taken to the nursery and put on oxygen.
I was later informed that if she didn't improve she would need to be transported to a near by hospital that had better means of caring for her.
The next morning a nurse informed me that she was being prepared for transport.
So my baby (whom I hadn't had a chance to hold yet) was transported via ambulance to Mason City, IA NICU.
(Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) While Grace stayed in the NICU we had several ups and downs~but each day she continued to thrive~coming home after a long 11 days in the NICU.
While she was there she was given a beautiful rag quilt~which we still have.
So being a crafty person I wanted a way to give back to these families and babies that have been where I once was.
I came up with making and donating my very own rag quilts~for Grace.
