Detailed description is The Boomer's & Senior's programs have much to offer the community. The Nutrition Program, Joints in Motion, Activity Groups, weekly dances, and much more! The Boomer's & Senior's programs have much to offer to the community. As of March 19, 2012 ours programs have all moved to The Club which was formerly know as The Florence Country Club. The Club is located at 450 Country Club Drive, Florence, AL 35633. We are located 1.2 miles south of Cox Creek Parkway on Savannah Highway on the left or 3.4 miles north of McFarland Park on Savannah Highway on the right. . The Club serves a hot lunch daily as part of our Nutrition Program at a nominal fee as well as offers many other activities, some of which are listed below:. . Monday/Wednesday/Friday: Joint's in Motion 8:45 AM - 9:15 AM. Please come and enjoy our chair exercise class to gentle range of motion exercises to help us with the activities of daily living. There is no fee or pre registration for these classes. Exercise Leader/Trainer: Fran "fish" Davis.. . Tuesday/Thursday: Boomer's & Senior's Dance: The Club, 6:30-9:00 pm. Spanning two generations and 7 decades of music. The Brown's provide us with their great musical talents for our dancing pleasure on Tuesday nights and The Sounds of Country Band on Thursday nights. $4 each. We have a pitch in/pot luck dinner 4 times a year where everyone brings their favorite dish to share.. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Afternoon Activities: 12:30 PM-5:00 PM- Rook, Party Bridge, Dominos, and The Yarn Arts: Be creative and join the Yarn Arts Group. We are presently making "Chemo Caps" for those patients/friends that have been undergoing chemotherapy. We are also busy making baby bonnets and baby blankets.
