Detailed description is We are the FIRST Team 1305, a student robotics team open to all High School aged students in North Bay and Area.
We are the Near North Student Robotics Initiative, a robotics team representing the city of North Bay, Ontario and surrounding area.
We compete with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a robotics competition dedicated to promoting science and technology to youth.
FIRST game challenges change yearly and do not work on principles of battling and defeating your opponents, but rather Gracious Professionalism.
Gracious Professionalism is competing like crazy but helping out other teams as they may be your teammate in another match..

Each year we build a robot to compete in the First Robotics Competition, the largest competition in the FIRST family.
We also compete in the VEX robotics competition as a way to train new members, and build 4 robots for this competition in the fall..

In 2012 we enter our twelfth competition season.
We look forward to mentoring team 4069 from LoEllen SS in Sudbury, as well as team 4152 from Huntsville Ontario this year, as well as continuing to work with 2011 rookie Team 3739 from London Ontario who we mentored last year..

We also mentor FLL teams, and are proud to be associated with three area teams, The Iceolators, Team Ice Breakers and Icetastic, providing mentoring and registration cost assistance..
