Annesi Yıldız Hanım, emekli bir ilkokul öğretmeni; babası Necip Bey ise, sırasıyla ortaokul ve öğretmen okulu müdürü, il milli eğitim müdürü, ortaöğretim genel müdürü ve bakanlık teftiş kurulu başkanı olarak hizmetler vermiş; basılı beş eseri de bulunan bir bürokrattır.. . 1991 yılında, TRT, Kanal 6, TGRT, Kanal 7, Star, Samanyolu ve Fox televizyonlarının ana haber spikerliği ve program sunuculuğu görevini yürüten, ekonomist Şebnem Ergür ile evlendi. Bu evlilikten, Ozan ve Kaan adlı iki erkek çocukları dünyaya geldi.. . Fatih Kısaparmak, temel eğitim döneminden itibaren, Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı ve TRT Ankara Radyosu'nda müzik; Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Galerisi'nde ise resim çalışmalarında bulundu. Ankara Bahçelievler Deneme Lisesi'ndeki öğrencilik yıllarında, Tasvir Gazetesi adına TBMM foto muhabirliği yaptı. Üniversite döneminde ise, başta Varlık olmak üzere çeşitli edebiyat-sanat dergilerinde şiirleri, röportajları ve araştırmaları yayımlandı. Yukarı Fırat Havzası'ndaki inceleme ve derlemelerini topladığı "Dil Folkloru Açısından Harput Ağzı" isimli bilimsel çalışması, ayrıca, "Ve Ağır Sevdam" adını taşıyan bir şiir kitabı da bulunmaktadır.. . 1985 yılında besteci, söz yazarı ve yorumcu olarak profesyonel sanat yaşamına atıldı. İlk çalışması olan “Kilim” büyük kitlelere ulaştı. Daha sonra ürettiği 17 müzik albümüyle de sürdüren Kısaparmak, 200’den fazla besteye imza attı. "Çağdaş Ozan", "Bay Kilim" ve "Türkü Baba" olarak da tanındı.. . Fatih Kısaparmak, sırasıyla "Grup Kilim" ve "Grup Mozaik" adlı iki ayrı konser orkestrası kurdu. Erzincan, Gölcük ve Pakistan depremzedeleri ile Zonguldak grizu faciasında hayatını kaybedenlerin yanı sıra Darülaceze, Unicef vb. kurumlar yararına "Toplumsal Dayanışma ve Yardım Konserleri" düzenledi. Türkiye'nin yanı sıra ABD, Rusya, Avustralya, Almanya, Avusturya, Fransa, Hollanda, Belçika, İsveç, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, Bosna-Hersek, Venezuela, Kazakistan ve Özbekistan'da çok sayıda konser verdi.. . Malatyaspor ve Elazığspor’da, toplam 3 dönem yönetim kurulu üyeliği görevinde bulunan Fatih Kısaparmak, İstanbul- Elazığ Kültür Vakfı’ndaki kurucu üyeliğinin yanı sıra, Elazığlılar Dayanışma Derneği'nde de yönetici ve genel sekreter olarak çalıştı. Türkiye'nin önde gelen kurum ve kuruluşlarınca 70'e yakın ödüle layık görülen sanatçıya, 2000 yılında, halk müziğine ve folklora katkılarından dolayı Fırat Üniversitesi Senatosu tarafından Fahri Doktora unvanı verildi. . . .
