Parenting Classes - Both children and parents enjoy activities that focus on building a positive regard for self and others.
Parents learn to create a nuturing home for their families, to use positive behavior management, to communicate clearly, to manage stress and more.
These classes are offered in different format and available for parents with children of all ages thoughout the year.

Family Visiting - Family visitors are available for parents wishing to talk to another adult, to learn more about parenting issues, and to learn about area resources.
This program offers the convenience of having a parenting class, but suited to your schedule and age of your children.

Safe Sitter Program - Safe Sitter teaches adolescent babysitters how to handle crises, how to keep their charges secure, and how to nurture and guide a young child.
In short, Safe Sitter babysitters help children stay safe and sound while their parents are away.
In the process, these 11- to 13-year-olds emerge as more confident, responsible and compassionate teens and adults.

Taylor Street Tots Playgroup - Parents and their children can drop in to enjoy art, fun, songs, stories and playtime together.
This is a special time for parents to socialize as well as their children.
There's no need to call ahead, just drop in Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00.

Family Fun - Families are invited to enjoy some "together time" with fun, family-oriented themes.
Held six times per year.

Parenting the First Year - Thanks to a team effort with Wisconsin University Extension, all Crawford County parents with newborns and children up to three years of age receive this monthly newsletter free of charge.
Age appropriate information is delivered to your home to coincide with the age of your child.

Toy and Resource Lending Library - Family Resource Center has an extensive toy and resource lending library.
Area parents, grandparents, childcare providers, and teachers are welcome to check out toys, books, DVDs and videos.
Family Resource Center staff offer guidance for families in choosing developmentally appropriate toys.
Also available are chapter books from BA Kennedy Elementary School.

Equipment Loan Program - We loan equipment on a short-term basis to families.
Items include: porta-cribs, baby swings, high chairs, strollers, car seats, life jackets, bicycle helmets, booster seats and safety gates..

Car Seat Program - You can rent infant, convertible, or booster car seats for a norminal annual fee.
Also, Family Resource Center has certified child passenger safety technicians on staff to help families with the proper installation of their car seat.

Warmline - This is your link to non-emergency support on the day-to-day challenges of child rearing.
The Warmline provides confidential sharing and emotional support from an empathic and objective listener.
The Warmline is available during Family Resource Center operating hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Volunteers are a large part of Family Resource Center.
Parents who have participated in activities and programs and others are encouraged to volunteer their time and expertise.
Here are a few of the volunteer oppoortunities: assist in library, provided child care, co-facilitate group activities, provide transporation and/or serve on Advisory Board..

***WAYS TO HELP-OUT FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER***.
Donations for our Rummage Sale!.
We are collect donations year round for our annual rummage sale with the focus being on children birth to age 12.
We will collecting good used toys, equipment & clothing for children birth to age 12, and also maternity clothing of all sizes.
Donations can be dropped off at Family Resource Center anything Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm or by appointment.
All donations are tax deducticle and we will have forms available when you drop off.
