My name is Robyn De La Haye, I am the Design Director of Essence Design Limited.
I am married to Steve, with two fantastic children, and have based the Essence Design Studio on the beautiful Kapiti Coast, just north of Wellington..

After completing a 4 year full time Bachelor of Design, I worked for three years for Architectural Practices in Wellington.
Steve and I travelled the globe, marrying in the Carribean and inbetween travel adventures on 3 safari’s in Egypt, India and Africa with 18 others on the back of a bedford truck - we lived in London, Edinburgh and Chichester, where I worked as an Interior and Architectural Designer.

With a solid grounding in Interior Architecture, I always look within an existing home or premises, before committing a client to expensive additions.
I am passionate about quality design and love creating Architecture which enriches my client’s lifestyle.
I recommend to clients we work towards a Master Plan, that may take multiple stages to achieve.
