Detailed description is Escola Estadual Maria Angela Batista Dias No dia 15 de dezembro de 1979, foi instalado no Bairro da Vila Nova, Rua Jerônimo Vieira, 463, uma pequena escola de 1° a 4° série do Ensino Fundamental denominada Escola Estadual de Primeiro Grau (EEPG) Agrupada da Vila Nova.. . . . No final do ano de 1981, a escola passou a ser denominada EEPG Prof.ª Maria Angela Batista Dias. Em 1983, a escola passou a funcionar em prédio próprio na Rua Conceição do Monte Alegre, 1621 – Vila Gamon. Nesta época, a escola oferecia atendimento da pré-escola e ensino fundamental completo e haviam duas classes para deficientes auditivos. No período noturno haviam cursos regulares de ensino fundamental e supletivo. O diretor da escola era o Professor Augusto Rosa (Dutra).. . Gradativamente a escola começou a oferecer continuidade de estudos estendendo atendimento da pré-escola a 8° série do 2° grau.. . Com a reorganização das escolas públicas do Estado de São Paulo em 1996, a escola passou a atender especificamente a clientela da 5° a 8° série do Ensino Fundamental, as 1°, 2° e 3° séries do Ensino Médio e Supletivo, funcionando nos períodos da manhã, tarde e noite.. . Atualmente a diretora é a Vânia Firmino de Oliveira, que assumiu o cargo em meados de 1998 e a vice-diretora é a Professora Edna Maria de Oliveira Marini.
