Detailed description is Escola de Música Marieta Monteiro - Projeto desenvolvido pela Associação Cultural e Social Marieta Monteiro na cidade de Capitão Poço - Pará.
Fundada em 2006 a Escola de Música Marieta Monteiro foi reativada em 04 de Maio 2012, após uma parceria com a Escola Estadual Padre Vitaliano que trouxe para atuar como professor e coordenador da escola o Maestro Josimar Alves.
No mesmo ano formou o primeiro grupo de Flauta doce da historia da escola com 50 alunos oriundos de escolas publicas do municipio.
Dando assim um passo importante em sua metodologia de ensino e começando o seu novo projeto de musicalização.
Hoje nossa Escola de Música atua na educação e produção musical através de atividades de ensino ofertado cursos básicos (para idade a partir de 10 anos) e oficinas (para idade a partir de 08 anos).
No campo da produção, mantém a Banda de Música Marieta Monteiro e alguns outros grupos.
Nossos grupos participam anualmente de ( bailes, procissões, círios, desfiles cívicos na cidade de Capitão Poço e região).
