Çaresiz ve yalnız bir parkta ne yapacağını düşünürken yerde bulduğu gazete parçasında bir iş ilanı görmüştür. Gazetedeki adrese giden Ersin,pizzacıda bulaşıkçılık yaparak istanbul'daki kariyerinin ilk adımını atmıştır. Bu adım 2 yıl kadar uzun sürmüştür ama Ersin'in bu alanda uzmanlaşmasını sağlamıştır. Öz ve öz teyzesinin oğlu olan Yılmaz ERDOĞAN bu sırada türkiye'de oldukça ünlü ve kariyer sahibi bir sanatçıdır. Fakat kendi ayakları üzerinde durmak isteyen Ersin İstanbul'da hiç bir tanıdığını aramamıştır. Çalıştığı yerde arkadaşlarına teyzesinin oğlunu gururla anlatmış ama bir türlü kimseyi Yılmaz ERDOĞAN'ın kuzeni olduğuna inandıramamıştır. Nihayet bir gün Ersin'in makus kaderini değiştirecek o müthiş olay gercekleşmiştir. Kuzeninin Merter'de bir pizzacıda çalıştığını duyan Yılmaz ERDOĞAN, Ersin'i bulmuş ve BKM'de yanına çalışması için çağırmıştır. 2000 yılında BKM'nin çeşitli birimlerinde görev almaya başlamıştır. Bana Bir Şeyhler Oluyor oynunun arka kadrosunda çalışan Ersin için bu oyunda uygun bir rol denk gelmiştir. Oyunda oynamak isteyen Ersin'e Yılmaz ERDOĞAN "Bu işler o kadar kolay değil'' dese de Ersin ''ben kendime güveniyorum abi '' diyerek rolü kapmıştır. Başarılı performansı ile Cem YILMAZ''la birlikte ''DORİTOS'' reklamında oynama şansını yakalamıştır. Halk tarafından sevilen ve benimsenen Ersin KORKUT , BKM Atölye'nin de ilk öğrencilerinden olmuştur. Halen BKM Mutfak Çok Güzel hareketler Bunlar ekibinde başarısını katlayarak ilerlemektedir.
