The mission of Episcopal Campus Ministry at Georgia Southern is to help elevate the dialogue around Christianity among groups traditionally ignored by other ministries on campus (such as the Gay-Straight Alliance), empower and educate Episcopal youth and young adults through action and reflection upon their role as Christians in their surrounding community, feed hungry elementary school children who receive free and reduced lunch through programs such as Backpack Buddies, and work towards community advocacy, leadership development, and resource development. With the ultimate goal of improving the spiritual lives of students and those they interact with as Episcopalians.. . This year ECM will help plan the Second Annual Ecumenical Advent Service. Also we are planning a Spring Break Mission Trip to the Poospatuck Reservation on Long Island, NY, home of the Unkechaug Tribal Nation. Each week we have Eucharist and fellowship Tuesdays at the Epicenter, bible study on Thursday at Panerra Bread, and Inquirers Class on Sunday at 4 pm at Russell Student Union with the Rev.
