The school was established in June 2014 by Emma Jackson who trained professionally with the Scottish Ballet's junior associates, The Dance School of Scotland and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The school is a growing success and Emma recently won the Princes Trust enterprise award for business of the year in Ayrshire.. All pupils who attend the school train in mainly Classical Ballet as it is the foundation to all dance styles and Emma feels this is very important for the children to learn. The school also provides Contemporary and Lyrical which the children start learning in class at a certain level along with their Ballet. Tap has its own class so the children can fully concentrate on learning tap steps. The school also provides tumbling classes which are taught by fantastic coaches from Irvine Bay gymnastics club. Every class has flexibility and stretching work in it as well and most younger classes have confidence building dance exercises included too. Classes also learn choreography work which teaches them how to choreograph routines or class exercises. Emma encourages her pupils to enjoy classes as well as learning discipline and technique. The school attends lyrical competitions so some pupils get the chance to compete. All pupils perform in our annual show at Troon Concert Hall which is always really fun and the kids love being on the stage! The parents and audience members love watching it as well! The school is doing fantastic and coming up on the 3rd year! It has achieved a lot in a short period of time. Every child is different there fore all progress at different times in their own way but they are all becoming more confident, learning new skills, making friends and have a super relationship with Miss Emma.
