Visa:. We issue visas for Ghanaians travelling to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Green Land and the Faroe Islands. Citizens from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Ivory Coast can apply for visa to Denmark only. . Residence permits for Denmark only.. . 3. Support to Private Sector Development Programme:. We aim to create sustainable and decent jobs through green growth and an all-inclusive private sector development. Our comprehensive Support to Private Sector Development phase II (SPSD II) has a budget of 425 million DKK covering areas such as budget support, business advocacy, skills development, agricultural value chain development, rural finance, and latest the implementation of a national climate innovation center. . 4. DANIDA Business Instruments:. By providing opportunities to Danish companies and organisations to participate in the transfer of knowledge, development of sustainable business practice and implementation of innovative solutions we seek to strengthen the business environment in Ghana. The Danida Business instruments comprise of Danida Business Partnerships, Danida Business Finance, and Danida Business Project development. To create synergies and strong collaboration the work between SPSD II, the Danida Business Instruments, and our Trade Council is highly integrated. . . 5. Right to Services and Good Governance Programme:. RSGGP is an exit strategy for Danida’s support to service delivery, human rights and good governance in Ghana. The programme is designed around people’s right to participate in their own development, enhanced local governance, access to justice, and improve local service delivery. It applies a human rights based approach (HRBA) by addressing the four principles of participation, non-discrimination, transparency and accountability with an emphasis on ensuring sustainability of essential governance functions for efficient service delivery system. . . 6. Health Sector Budget Support Programme:. The overall focus of Denmark’s engagement in the Ghana health sector is pro-poor primary quality health care, achieving health related gains in accordance with the MDGs, and strengthening the health care services for the Ghanaian people. The health sector programme has two mail components: Firstly, it supports the Ministry of Health through sector budget support in implementing the Ministry’s strategic plan and annual programme of work as well as general health system strengthening. Secondly, it seeks to promote the health needs of the poor and vulnerable across the country through assisting the institutional development of the private not-for-profit sector. This is sought by providing core funding to the Secretariat of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG). CHAG provides around 30-40% of health care service delivery in Ghana, especially in rural areas.. . 7. General Budget Support:. Danida’s second phase of general budget support is - Multi Donor Budget Support (MDBS) Phase II. The programme has two components, the first, the General Budget Support has the objective of supporting the implementation of Ghana’s medium term growth and poverty reduction agenda with financial resources, policy dialogue and regular monitoring in a manner which is harmonised with other development partners to reduce transaction costs. The second component, Support for the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), whose objective is to support Government of Ghana to improve the effectiveness of service delivery and the allocation of scarce resources and assure an accountable, more effective, and transparent government.
