Detailed description is Elmore County Amateur Radio Club (ECARC) was founded in 2012 to support the amateur radio community in Elmore County and surrounding areas.
Elmore County Amateur Radio Club (ECARC) is a non-profit community group of ham radio operators and those interested in the hobby.
The club is comprised of individuals from Elmore County, Idaho and the surrounding area.

Activities.
ECARC holds regular activities of interest to the local amateur radio community.
Activities include license training classes, communications training, antenna/kit building, and weekly nets.
License training classes are held every Friday in the meeting room of the Elmore County Services building.
The Technician/General class is held from 6:00 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m.
and the Extra class is starts at 7:45 p.m.
and goes until 9:00 p.m.
ECARC also supports the Elmore County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (E.C.
ARES)..

ECARC Meetings.
Meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
Meetings are held in the Meeting Room of the Elmore County Services Building Located at East 8th North St.

Nets.
ECARC members are encouraged to participate in the ECARES net on Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m.
on the 147.340 Repeater.
We also have a social net for the club Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m.
and an informal afternoon commute home session on the 147.34 repeater M-F around 4:00 p.m.

The ECARC utilizes a repeater on Rattlesnake Butte located 10 miles northeast of the city of Mountain Home.
The repeater has coverage into the Boise area as well as Twin Falls..
