Hi there! My name is Ed Gordon and I will begin offering $10 per night House & Pet sitting July 1st.
That's when I'm beginning the epic adventure of moving into my tiny RV full time for 2-3 years to pay off all debt and save for a house! I don't drink or smoke (or smoke!) anything.
I'm not loud or messy.
I read, watch a little TV and try to help others in my free time.
I am usually working on some sort of big project, most recently refurbishing my '84 Toyota Sunrader motorhome for the past year (a huge undertaking!).

I work full time, half time at my computer repair business and half time at HSU.
I have a lot of flexibility at both jobs - especially Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (and of course weekends,) so please don't worry that I'll be too busy to spend time with your buddies! I'll be very clear and honest about what I can and can't do.
If I think someone else would be a better match for your needs I'll let you know..

I am looking to sit houses within 30 minutes of Arcata, that are clean, quiet and comfortable.
A big bonus for me is a hot tub, or at least a big bathtub with plenty of HOT water (an occasional soak in a tub is the thing I think I'm going to miss most about my house!).

I love all animals and am great with them all.
All I ask is no known aggressive dogs, and by aggressive I mean that they've bitten or attacked another animal or person, not that they're just "grouchy" or loud or weirdos, I can handle that!.

I have two sweet golden retrievers myself, a mother and son, that are very gentle and LOVE other animals..

I am going to be living in an 18ft Toyota Motorhome for 2-3 years, need I say more? :) Oh, in case I haven't mentioned it yet - I'll stay as looooooong as you like!.

I pet sat for a friend/neighbor a few times when I was out in Redwood Valley who had all sorts of critters and tasks (see "Pets" below.) .

I am very experienced at being a responsible, conscientious and organized person.

I am about to do a house sitting job for a friend in Eureka in a few weeks, and already have 4 others lined up after July 1st! I expect I'll be very experienced quite soon! (Update 7/18, already have had three more house sitting jobs! I'm good at this! You'll see!).

I owned and operated a commercial janitorial service in my 20's, "Executive Cleaning Services" - this was in the age before google so you'll just have to take my word for it, but I was well liked & trusted with lots of keys :).

I Love animals and am very good with them.
I am gentle but in control and not at all easily rattled.

My services include feeding or letting out / in your animals morning and night, watering plants, bringing in the mail / paper etc., anything within reason required to take care of your home and pets as you normally would have.

I send many updates with pictures and offer a Skype session with your animals for no extra charge..

I can offer $10 per night house sitting for places that meet the following criteria:.
* Safe, off street, reasonably close to front door of house spot to park my RV..
* Washer and Dryer available inside home..
* My dogs allowed inside the house, or a fenced yard..
* Allow me to sleep in the home (I can and usually will bring my own mattress / bedding.).
* Kitchen access, for cooking and food storage..
* Quiet, no loud neighbors next door or above etc...
* Within 30 minutes of Arcata..
The reason I offer to do this so cheap is because I'm in my RV full time, so I need a place to do laundry, cook, let my dogs stretch out etc., so it's worth it to me if I'm in a spot where I can do these things..
