Holly, NC.
Its attendance range covers northeastern Gaston County and includes western portions of Mount Holly, the town of Stanley and the communities of Mountain Island, Alexis, Lucia, and the surrounding rural area.
The school was established in 1972 when high schools in the neighboring communities of Mount Holly and Stanley were consolidated.
It is home of the 2010 District Principal, School Social Worker, and School Counselor of the Year.Dr.
Cristi Bostic serves as principal of East Gaston, and she has held that position since the retirement of Marty Starnes following the 2010-2011 school year.
