Your vacation to Eagle Ridge starts when you get on the ferry operated by Plaunt Transportation (888 752 8687 ) departing from Cheboygan Michigan heading on the 45 min trip to the Island.
During the Ferry ride, the true remote nature of the Island begins to set in.
Once you arrive on the Island, you are just a short drive away from Eagle Ridge, however we suggest that you stop at Hawks landing (General Store) before you head for Eagle Ridge to start you Island Adventure.
The cabin sleeps 10, with a master suite downstairs and 4 sets of bunk beds in the upstairs loft.
There is a full bath on each floor, and a beautifully ceramic tiled fully furnished kitchen.
The main floor offers a family room with vaulted ceilings, TV, and leather seating.
Additionally on the main floor, is a family dining area, screened/glassed in porch (no bugs) with a popcorn cart, office away from home with a printer for your lap top..

For outdoor activities, we provide as they would say at "LL Bean" a wickedly nice open porch and deck area with ample seating including two round tables with umbrellas, without a doubt the absolutely most fantastic and unforgettable star gazing you will ever experience ( NO LIGHT POLLUTION ), a Weber grill, bonfire pit, fire wood, and close beach access.

Since you don't want to get you car all scratched up, we provide a Jeep to help you explore the many different areas on the Island.
This is the perfect way to see some of the more remote parts of the island that would be difficult to get to otherwise.
A Canoe and two Rubber boats with motors are there for your use, on the 'Big Lake' or one of the really neat inland lakes.

While the Island is quite remote by mainland' standards, all of your needs can be met without leaving the Island.
There is a restaurant/general store that also sells gasoline and has Fantastic Pizza.
There is a bar that serves food, as well.
For those of you that just can't be without internet service, the general store/restaurant offers free Wi-Fi service..

Most visitors spend the day exploring the wilderness of the island; swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, and enjoying what the island has to offer.

So when he decided to retire from Ferris State University in 2003, he decided to take on a log home Dealership.
Well when you sell log homes you need a demo home right ? Hold on, loving wife of 45 plus years has to buy into this concept of being away from home all summer on a beautiful island..
Not a hard sell.
Eagle Ridge was built in 2006 and has been enjoyed ever since.
Kyu Hui, pronounced Q-He, (brains of the outfit) was in charge of all the furnishings and ceramic tile work that went into Eagle Ridge...
She is a stickler for detail and picky picky.
We love sharing Eagle Ridge with families that enjoy the pristine nature of Bois Blanc Island AKA Bob-Lo.
