Detailed description is Two rental halls are available at this 1895 yellow brick one-room school house.
Located in the Hamlet of Eagle, Ontario, Aldborough Township, Elgin County In 1895, the original Eagle Public S.S.
# 4 yellow brick one-room school was built.
In 1955, the building became the Eagle Community Centre which was incorporated in 1967.
The building will be celebrating two milestones - 2017 marks 50th anniversary of being incorporated as a centre - 2020 marks 125th anniversary for the building.
In 1955, a two-room school (was also known as S.S.
# 4) was built beside the original school and closed in 1965 when Ontario closed all the one and two room schools.
Students where then bussed to a new school (Aldborough Public School) in Rodney, Ontario, which is still operating today.
