Drew's Barbershop Opened August 1st 2014 in Powell Wyoming. . Drew specializes in Men's hair styles and Hot Straight Razor Shaves. . . Walk in's Welcome. Appointments available. . . Grand Opening. POWELL, Wyo. ─ Drew’s Barber Shop, located in the garage of 505 N. Day Street (next to the fairgrounds), will open its doors at 10 am on August 1st drawings for free services, snacks and a Powell Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting.. . Owner and operator, Drew Weston, received his barber’s license from Boise Barber College in 2009. . . In late 2013, Drew and Andrea were searching for a home to buy in Powell. When they found one that had space for a potential barber shop, they were thrilled. After buying the home, they created a budget for remodeling and supplies for a barber shop. The goal seemed so far away because they simply didn’t have the money to finance a small business. . . “That’s when I developed an idea for his fortieth birthday last February. He’s not one for big parties, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t schedule a big surprise.” said Andrea.. . Andrea created a crowd source funding page to raise funds from Drew’s friends and family to make his dream of a barber shop come true. Instead of the traditional six pack birthday present, Andrea asked folks to instead invest money towards remodeling costs. And it worked. In less than two weeks, she had raised more than $1,500! Needless to say, Drew was totally surprised on his birthday. He worked for the next six months to remodel the space as a relaxing and inviting place where men can come for classic cuts and shaves.. . “I am so overwhelmed by people’s generosity. I can’t wait to open my doors and serve the community. How can I not be optimistic with so many people believing in me?”. . Regular business hours will be Monday-Friday 8-4 and .
