After residency, Mark served for three years at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, training general dental residents in oral and maxillofacial surgical skills.
While at Scott AFB, Mark passed his board exams and became certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He also taught oral surgery to dental students at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
