Detailed description is Maryland District 22B Lion's Club District 22B Lions International consists of 48 Lions Club, 2 Lioness Clubs, and 5 Leo Clubs.
Our membership number totals approximately 1350.
The district encompasses a land area of approximately 3375 square miles and includes the Maryland Counties, of Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester.
District 22B was established in 1944 and at that time included the nine counties in Maryland and the three counties of Delaware.
In 1947 District 22B was sub-divided again and the three counties of Delaware became District 22-D with the nine counties of Maryland remaining 22B.
In 1921 Maryland was part of District 16 which included several east coast states and in 1922 Districts 16, 20, and 22 were formed.
We have a rich history of Lionism and service to our communities in 22B and we continue to build upon that history today.
