Detailed description is Sunday and Summer Tibetan Culture School for Children 3-17 years of age New York City is very culturally diverse; however, the Tibetan American culture is only just beginning to blossom here.
The Tibetan American children are often left out or misunderstood.
We took the opportunity of the long summer break from regular school and Sundays during the school year to create a safe, fun and nurturing Tibetan children's center.
The center is for children and teens ages 3 to 17.
We provide both an educational and Tibetan cultural experience.
Our cultural education focuses not only on basic Tibetan language skills, but also instills the feeling of community and belonging.
Our classes include Tibetan language, Art, Traditional Dance and Music, Tibetan Drama and folklore.
Our goal is for children to become much closer to their roots as well as develop confidence, self expression, a sense of creativity, leadership, team building skills, cultural pride and awareness.

With the support of the Tibetan families and our program it is our hope that the children will have the tools to become confident Tibetan Americans.
