These classes are specifically designed to inspire creativity and artistic expression at an early age, to feel beautiful, to dance for the joy of moving to the music. We use a wide variety of musical styles to capture the many feelings of dance. Children in this program begin to understand musicality and self expression. Our goal with this age is to share the joy of movement with music and give them a very positive environment to have a blast!. . Moving into beginner level classes we begin to specifically define the movement and the technique of each individual dance style that the student pursues. At this age we want children to carry themselves well. Good posture, grace, class and style and are things that are best developed at an early age. Students will begin to add more complex dance steps to their training but focusing on artistic expression is still a major focus at this age.. . Our intermediate level dancers maintain their artistic expression and carry themselves with confidence. At this level technique becomes a priority. Dancers begin to focus on proper alignment, positions are precise and dancers will begin to learn more complex progressions and choreography. Students are encouraged to develop their flexibility outside of the classroom and stretch at home. At this level we progress fairly quickly. Our program is specifically designed to help students advance and learn in an efficient way.. . Advanced level dancers have mastered and show proper alignment, form, flexibility and carry themselves with confidence. The advanced dancer is able to pick up choreography quickly, has developed a vast repertoire of movement and can evoke the mood of the dance style he or she is dancing. At this level dancers work on their own to maintain their flexibility and are self motivated. These dancers pull together everything from the artistic expression, grace, confidence and style that begins in pre-dance, combined with the technique learned as an intermediate and turns out a well rounded and complete dancer. These dancers also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills that will benefit them in other areas of their life outside of the studio by assisting with the pre-dance program.
