She has always been a do-it-yourselfer, and interested in the historic and old-fashioned ways of doing things, so she did research into soapmaking, past and present.
Her very first soap was a plain unscented Olive Oil Soap for her son, and it was a big hit with family and friends.
From that point on soapmaking quickly grew into a business venture for her.
Much has changed for her and her family in the years since she made that first soap, including two more children, but she and her family still use her handmade soap at bathtime.
Her children are now old enough to help her with the business, so she is currently apprenticing another generation of soapmakers..
